Gus & Theodore’s Adoption Story

I wanted to share my adoption story and a few photos of my bonded boys, Gus and Theodore.

When I first reached out to Cat Tales, I only planned to adopt one cat — but then I met these two little brothers and instantly knew I couldn’t separate them. Their pregnant mom and litter were lovingly cared for by their amazing foster, Alyssa O., and it was clear from the start that these kittens had been so loved and well socialized.

I brought them home at just nine weeks old, and now, three years later, they’ve grown into the most affectionate, funny, and curious cats. Their personalities are as different as their coats, but they truly are the perfect pair. They love cuddling with each other, their dog brother, and me — and they’re just as good at creating cozy snuggle piles as they are at stirring up a bit of adorable chaos around the house.

Gus and Theodore are sweet, social, and full of personality — exactly what our home needed. I’m so grateful to Cat Tales Rescue and Alyssa for giving them such a wonderful start and for bringing them into our lives.
