After getting to know Fig over the last several months, I can confidently say this is who she truly is at her core: a goofy, incredibly sweet companion with a personality all her own. Fig is estimated to be around 2–3 years old and has the kind of personality that feels bigger than “just a cat.”
She genuinely bonds with her people and loves being near them. Every evening, she curls up next to me for TV time, and during the day she either lounges on the couch or hangs out beside me in my office, happily waiting for pets. One of Fig’s favorite things is showing off her belly on the patio (yes—she loves belly rubs!).
She enjoys being outside with her people and will happily follow you around the garden to see what you’re up to. She stays very close to home and has never been one to wander—she prefers being nearby. Fig is wonderfully easygoing with other animals. She gets along with them just fine but is mostly indifferent to them and doesn’t really play with them. Instead, she prefers wand toys, string toys, wet food, affection, and quality time with her person.
She’s not especially treat-motivated, but wet food definitely wins her heart. At my house, there are a lot of animals, and one of the sweetest things about Fig is how patiently she waits her turn for attention. She’ll quietly “ask” for love in her own adorable way—sometimes gently leading me toward the living room where she likes to sleep so I’ll come sit with her.
Fig would thrive in a home where she can truly be someone’s companion. While she coexists beautifully with other pets, she would especially love a home where she can be a bigger focus and soak up all the affection she deserves. She has a very unique, loving personality and would make an incredible best friend for someone looking for a true companion cat.
