Wyatt is one of our teenage kittens.  He is such an amazing kitty.  He loves to play with other kittens, toys and just do zoomies.  Wyatt is a big love bug and loves to sleep under covers, curled up next to you.

Wyatt was born with a condition called pectus excavatum.  This issue was corrected by UC Davis and Wyatt will live a long and happy life.  He was born on February 28.  Although he is about 7 and a half months old, he is small for his age, both in size and maturity.  The correction of his pectus excavatum required him to be housed in a small crate so he couldn’t jump or climb or run, and he wasn’t able to play with the other kittens.  He had a chest plate attached to his body and he was bandaged up.  Every two weeks, we went to UC Davis and they would adjust the chest plate and he would get a new bandage.  He has always been a good boy and managed his doctor appointments well.

On August 18, he was released to run, jump, climb, play, and have fun with the other kittens, something Wyatt had no idea how to do.  We learned in stages.  We started with zoomies.  Wow, I thought he’d never get tired.  He didn’t know his own strength at first, but quickly learned to safely play with all ages and sizes of cats.  Right now he has five cat brothers and one cat sister of varying ages and sizes to play with and Wyatt enjoys them all. Wyatt is playful and a bit independent, but is also very loveable.  He sleeps on my head at night.  It cracks me up every time.  I wake up enough to snuggle him and move him so I can breathe, then we’re back to sleep.  He’s a very good boy.
